Galaxy star projector

A galaxy star projector is one of my all-time favorite sensory supports. I use it every evening (along with glitter lava lamps) as a light source instead of harsh overhead lighting or bright lamps. We project it onto the wall and ceiling behind our television in the living room, and it provides sensory-soothing light, a subtle stim, and is related to some of my SpIns (sci-fi, Dr. Who, and space).

The star projector is also a delight to use while practicing yoga and is very handy when traveling. The fact that it’s light weight and packs up into my suitcase, makes it easily portable and travel friendly. Whenever I get to a new hotel room, I draw the blackout curtains, plug it in, grab my same-drink, and am instantly soothed. I also take it with me to relative’s houses for holiday get-togethers so that when I’m overstimulated or socially exhausted, I can retreat to a quiet room and chill out with my stars. It might be the best $50 I ever spent.
